PORTALS AND MOLOCHS

Moloch refers to structures or phenomena that are both natural and artificial—futuristic, fractured, and faceted formations that emerge from and disrupt the environment.
A concept emerging from the contrast between urban society and the environment, raising questions about the origin and impact of human activity. The term "moloch" is inspired by the poem "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg, in which he refers to a biblical entity that requires sacrifice for its ruinous civilizational advancement.

To me, it represents the state of being in the wake of overwhelming changes and loss, of a sense of pervasive alienation and atrophy.

The fracturing serves as a metaphor for the human activity. Represented in the physical way: as urban and mechanical, as well as abstract: technological and systemic.
While the portals invite us to peek into the unknown, to face the challenge.
