Whether by painting, printmaking or drawing I seek to channel energy, values, dreams, free-flowing associations and concepts into mark making hoping to transmit their essence. 

Fostered in representational training, my interests are grounded in form as much as in context, and are propelled by constant exploration of media as well as the mechanics of the creative process.

Themes are often intuitively derived from nature, spiritual teachings and scientific, metaphysical, and psychological sources. The aim is to create bridges between the personal with the universal.

Alicja Pulit (b. 1987, Nysa, Poland) studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Oakton Community College and has been working as an interdisciplinary artist based in Chicago, IL for the past 20 years.
